When using photoshop you may need to perform certain commands/use certain tools to complete the task you are doing. If your scratch disks are full you may not be able to complete these commands or use these tools. You will know if your scratch disks are full if you receive the error message below.



It is recommended to have 20GB of free space to run Photoshop on your device and even more available storage to complete certain commands. To resolve this issue you need to free up some storage space on your device. To do this complete the following.


1. In the search bar type in ‘Storage Settings’ and then click on ‘Open’

2. Your available storage will show on screen. If your storage has less than 20GB available proceed with the next steps. If you have more than 20GB of free space and are seeing the scratch disks error message. Please email ithelpdesk@stdominics.nsw.edu.au

3. In the Search Bar type in ‘Control Panel’ and then click ‘Open’

4. In the top right-hand corner next to ‘View by:’ Click on ‘Categories’ and change it to ‘Small icons’. Then click on ‘Programs and Features’.

5. Located unused apps and games in the list shown and uninstall those applications following the on-screen instructions. If you are concerned about which apps should and should not be uninstalled please email ithelpdesk@stdominics.nsw.edu.au or visit the IT Help Desk
